New Delhi: People are worried about where the monsoon suddenly disappeared after reaching Uttar Pradesh. People are reeling from the sultry heat. Now, meteorologists have informed that the monsoon winds were pulled off by low-pressure areas formed in the south. That was the reason why the monsoon stream slipped from UP to Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan. As a result, on the one hand, there is a drought-like situation in UP and on the other hand, from Gujarat to Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, it is raining torrential rains. At the same time, rain is expected to start in eastern Uttar Pradesh in two to three days.  

According to senior meteorologist Dr Atul Kumar Singh, monsoon rains in Uttar Pradesh are based on moist winds emanating from the Bay of Bengal. The mainstream of these winds, which move from east to west, passes through, and there will be normal to heavy rainfall in those areas. This monsoon current is called the trough line in technical parlance. It moved towards UP on its scheduled path in late June. In the meantime, a strong low-pressure area formed in the south of Orissa and north of Andhra Pradesh, which started to draw the monsoon winds towards itself. At present, there is a rain situation in UP, but the moisture and temperature that is necessary are not being formed.

The low-pressure area that changed the monsoon current is now weakening. This will also give relief to those States which are receiving heavy rainfall. On the other hand, rain is prevailing in Uttar Pradesh. Rain is expected to commence in eastern Uttar Pradesh in two to three days. If there is enough moisture from the Bay of Bengal, its impact will be seen in Lucknow and further districts.
