New Delhi: A high alert has been sounded in several districts of Gujarat due to heavy rains. A high alert has been sounded by the MET department in Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Chhota Udaipur, Valsad, Tapi, and Navsari in south Gujarat. Along with this, Kutch, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Morbi and Rajkot in Saurashtra have also been put on high alert. The MET department has issued a heavy to very heavy rain alert in several districts including Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal for the next 24 hours. Apart from this, red alerts are also issued for many districts of Maharashtra.
According to the MET department (IMD), there is a possibility of rain in Delhi even today. The minimum temperature here is going to be 26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will go up to 32 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of light rain today. In Ahmedabad, today's minimum temperature will be 26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees Celsius. There will be heavy rain in Delhi. During the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast over south Madhya Pradesh, parts of Vidarbha, north Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa and south Gujarat.
Light to moderate rain may occur at one or two places over coastal states, Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, parts of Telangana, parts of Chhattisgarh and southeast Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Light to moderate rainfall is forecast over Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Northeast India, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Odisha, north Chhattisgarh, south Jharkhand, interior Karnataka, parts of Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh, according to IMD.
