Chandigarh: Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra will enter Punjab from Wednesday (January 11). Before this, the party's Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi will pay obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Senior party leader and National General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has given this information. During this, he also accused the BJP of tarnishing the image of former Army General Deepak Kapoor.

Jairam Ramesh tweeted that, 'The 116th day of Bharat Jodo Yatra was completed in Ambala, Haryana. This journey will start in Punjab on Wednesday morning. Nothing can be better than starting the journey after paying obeisance at the holy Golden Temple in Amritsar.' He also informed that Rahul Gandhi will go to the Golden Temple today to pay obeisance, so there will be no padyatra after Tuesday afternoon. Let us tell you that before this, Rahul Gandhi visited temples, churches, and mosques during his visit.

Let us tell you that Congress has recently lost power in Punjab. In the 2022 assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) badly defeated Congress. It was being told that the tussle between former CM Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu became a major reason for this defeat. Apart from this, the party also struggled with internal discord.
