On the other hand, sources have told that after sidelining Varun Dhawan's film, Shashank explored his old scripts and picked a love story out of it.

Also, according to a source, 'Shashank was very excited to make a love story, so he first approached Kartik Aryan. When Kartik Aryan heard the script and said yes, then Shashank and Kartik met producer Karan Johar. With this, Kartik is already working on Karan Johar's production 'Dostana 2'. The main cast of the film and all the remaining co-stars are yet to be selected. With this, the shooting of this film is likely to start by next year. Apart from this, by then the whole team will meet the shooting locations of the film and the rest of the work.
