AI, or Artificial Intelligence, is making waves and headlines these days, with nearly every company venturing into this sector. In this sequence, Ola has also joined the fray. After cabs and electric scooters, the company has now introduced its first Artificial Intelligence, Krutrim AI. The project was introduced by the company's CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal. The company claims that this is a groundbreaking project, focusing on developing India's first full-stack AI solution. The company has presented two AI models - Krutrim and Krutrim Pro. Let's find out what makes these AI models special.

When Did Krutrim Start?
The inception of Krutrim AI took place in April 2023 by Bhavish Aggarwal and Krishnamurthy Venugopala Teneti. Ola has presented two models under this - the base model, Krutrim AI, understands 22 languages and can generate text in 10 Indian languages. On the other hand, talking about the Pro variant, it is designed to solve advanced problems and will be released in the next quarter.

The company claims that Krutrim AI has been trained on 20 times more Indian tokens compared to any other AI model. Therefore, it outperforms GPT-4 and Llama models in terms of Indian performance. This AI can process voice input and respond in voice output.

What Sets It Apart?
Users will experience a unique experience. Krutrim AI has been finely tuned to connect with Indian culture and languages, and it has been trained on Indian data. It works on a custom tokenizer to translate scripts of Indian languages. Due to this, Krutrim AI performs better than other open-source language learning models. The model is live on the company's official website, but users need to register to access it. The base model will be available for everyone from next month, and its API will be available from the next clear February.
