Facilities for tourists are developed by toll tax known for all monuments including the Taj Mahal. Tourists have to buy tickets from the Department of Archeology and the ADA gives toll tickets. Till now the archeology department had a higher ticket rate and the toll was less on the monuments. The ADA proposed to raise toll rates to be similar to ASI. The proposal was approved in the October 3 meeting of the toll advisory committee.
