Ahmedabad: The country is going to complete 75 years of its independence on 15 August 2022. Because of this, the Government of India is celebrating the 'Amrit Mahotsav of Independence' program. At the same time, PM Modi addressed everyone, saying, 'Gandhiji understood the old pain of the country, caught that pulse related to the people and seeing this movement became the movement of every Indian, every Indian The resolution was made. In fact, at this time PM Modi is in Sabarmati Ashram and he has flagged off the padayatra from Ahmedabad to Dandi under the Amrit Mahotsav program. Here he said, 'Today the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence is beginning. Amrit Mahotsav started today, 75 weeks before 15 August 2022. And will last until August 15, 2023. The present generation will get this opportunity of 75 years of independence as a nectar. A nectar that will inspire us to live and do something for the country every moment.'

With this, he said, 'We still say that we have eaten the salt of the country. This is not because salt is a very valuable thing. This is because salt is a symbol of labor and equality in us. The freedom struggle of 1857, Mahatma Gandhi's return from abroad, reminding the nation of the power of Satyagraha, the call for complete independence of Lokmanya Tilak, the Delhi march of Azad Hind Fauj led by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who can forget the slogan of Delhi Chalo.'

He further said, 'Even today, India's achievements are not only our own today, but they are going to show light to the whole world, to give hope to the entire humanity. Our development journey filled with the self-sufficiency of India is going to give impetus to the development journey of the whole world. In Jharkhand, when Lord Birsa Munda challenged the British, the Murmu brothers led the Santhal movement. In Odisha, Chakra Bisoi waged a fight, while Laxman Nayak spread consciousness in Gandhian ways. Our youth, our scholars should take the responsibility that they will fulfill the efforts of the country in the history writing of our freedom fighters. We will bring the achievements of our society in the freedom movement and after that, in front of the world more vigorously. I would also urge people associated with art, literature, the theatrical world, the film industry, and digital entertainment, how many unique stories are scattered in our past, explore them, bring them to life.'
