Patna: One phase of corona vaccine trial on children at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Patna, i.e., 12 to 18 years of age, has been immunized. Now under the second phase, children between the ages of 6 and 12 are being vaccinated. In this regard, AIIMS Medical Superintendent CM Singh said that there is no hesitation in the trial of the children's vaccine.

He said the vaccine seemed to be more hesitant during the trial on adults. Doctors, staff as well as ordinary citizens are excited to involve their children in the children's trial. CM Singh said it will take at least three months to generate evidence by completing the trial. It will then be sent for approval. If all goes well, the vaccine for children may come by the end of this year.

During the trial of the children's vaccine in Patna AIIMS, it has also come to light that many children already had antibodies. The medical superintendent did not reveal the figure of the children, but did say that some children already had antibodies, which prevented them from being included in the vaccine trial. Several doctors have also reportedly vaccinated their children in the trial. Veena Singh, head of department of plastic surgery in AIIMS, has conducted a vaccine trial on her 13-year-old son Satyam.
