A sedition case against Lakshadweep filmmaker and activist Aisha Sultana has been fired. In fact, under the recent information received, a complaint was lodged against him by The Lakshadweep unit BJP President Abdul Khadar at Kavaratti police station. In view of that, they have been booked under sections 124A (sedition) and 153 B (hate speech). Let me tell you all that there has been a controversy over Aisha's remarks on 'biological weapons' during the television debate.

Khadar has now alleged that "Aisha spread false news about corona in the Union Territory during an argument on a Malayalam channel. He had said that the Central Government used biological weapons to spread corona in Lakshadweep. Khadar also said, "Aisha's statement is anti-national which is tarnishing the image of the Central Government. Strict action should be taken against Aisha so that this does not happen again. In fact, BJP workers have also lodged a complaint against Aisha in Kerala. Let us also inform all of you that at present Aisha is going ahead against the proposed law in Lakshadweep and participating in the campaign.

Aisha shared a post on Facebook on her controversial statement. In this post, she writes, "I used the word bioweapon in the TV channel debate. I had realised that Patel and his policies are in the form of bioweapons. It was through Patel and his team that Covid 19 spread in Lakshadweep. I compared Patel to bio-weapons, not the Government or the country. You should understand that." Also, Aisha hails from Chetiath Island in Lakshadweep.
