DKS has a 24-hour dialysis facility in the Nephrology Department. Its special thing is that there is a completely separate dialysis machine for HIV and Hepatitis B patients which is the only facility in some big private hospitals. Preparations are also being made to build such a unit in AIIMS. So that dialysis of needy patients can be done simultaneously. AIIMS has nephrologists, but due to less machines, more patients are not aware of dialysis.
