Should it be called as confusion or miss interpretation or maybe it’s totally clear still they have to mess it up! Centre’s comment in the stand of Supreme Court of India against the practice of Triple Talaq as a “Conspiracy” to implement a Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

The Muslim organizations, led by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), on Thursday slammed the government for “creating discord” between communities, saying the UCC was against the very Constitution of India. Whereas the BJP on the response by AIMPLB said that it is all being mixed up, they are two separate issues, UCC and Triple talaq. And there should not be seen in the same light.

“The Constitution of India is the binding agreement that India has with every citizen of the country. Article 25 of the Constitution guarantees religious freedom — it is what keeps the country united. It is wrong, inappropriate of the government to try to govern the entire country with one stick,” as said by the general secretary of AIMPLB in New Delhi.
