New Delhi: Air India employees and co-workers have urged Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri to stop the 10 per cent reduction in their salary allowances. In fact, the burden of 10 percent reduction is being imposed on the employees, which is causing morale to the employees. The employees have said this through a letter.

Let us tell you, the salary allowance of March was received by the employees on April 18 with a 10 per cent deduction. The flying crew has not yet received 70 per cent of their salary allowance for February. According to news agency PTI, 8 employee organizations of Union of Air India on Friday urged Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri to withdraw the decision taken due to the airline lockdown.

Air India on Thursday raised the demand in support of Indigo's decision, in which Indigo has decided to cut the salary of its senior employees. According to IndiGo CEO Ronjoy Dutta, the airline will cut the salary for the month of April. A joint letter written by 8 AI staff unions on Friday stated, "We urge you to repeal the Air India Committee's decision on the Corona Virus pay cut, which is against the government's instructions.
