Badruddin Ajmal, the chief of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), stirred controversy by advising Muslims to refrain from traveling between January 20 and 25, coinciding with the consecration of the Ram Temple. Ajmal made these remarks during a foundation stone-laying ceremony for a Madrasa in Kadamtala, Baghbor, Assam.
Expressing his views, Ajmal labeled the BJP as the primary adversary of Muslims and suggested that the community should abstain from any travel plans via train, bus, car, or other means during the period when Lord Ram's idol will be consecrated in the garba griha.
Emphasizing the prolonged challenges faced by Muslims in the country, the AIUDF leader highlighted their enduring plight.
Ajmal also took a swipe at the Congress during the event, attributing the inception of the NRC (National Register of Citizens) and the D-voter system to the party. He criticized the Congress, stating that despite the promises made to Muslims, the community tends to forget about the benefits provided by the party after casting their votes.
