Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav has attacked the state's Yogi Adityanath government, saying that their target is the assembly elections due in 2022. The present government of Uttar Pradesh is false and people are coming with Samajwadi Party to remove it.
In the interaction with the press after several big leaders joined the Samajwadi Party headquarters, Akhilesh said that the elections that are going to be held in the coming time will not only be the election of Uttar Pradesh but the future of the country's politics is determined. He said that the target of Samajwadi Party is 2022 and it starts with the by-election. Welcoming the leaders who joined the SP, Akhilesh claimed that the SP's performance in the by-election will be very good.
Several prominent people joined the Samajwadi Party, including former Union Minister Salim Sherwani, a five-time MP in the SP headquarters, and Tribhuvan Dutt, a former BSP MP from Ambedkar Nagar. Encouraged by this, Akhilesh Yadav gave a clear indication that in the coming time he will enter the electoral arena after compromising with small parties. He said that efforts will be made to connect people with the party.
