Dehradun: Bookings at most hotels and lodges in Auli for Christmas and New Year celebrations are already full. Tourists have booked hotels from December 22 to the first week of January.

Tourist arrivals increase: Tourists are reaching Auli in good numbers these days. A large number of tourists came here on Sunday as it was a weekend. Tourists were also enjoying ropeways and cheer lifts. The hotel traders as well as other businessmen were on their faces as they saw the good presence of tourists.

Ajay Bhatt, a hotel trader in Auli, has said that the number of tourists visiting Auli has increased further after the recent snowfall. He said that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the tourists about Christmas and New Year celebrations. Most of the hotels from December 22 to January 5 have been booked online. While Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam guest house has also completed booking till January 1. While information is being collected from constant phone calls in hotels for new bookings. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the local tourism traders about the New Year and Christmas. Apart from the weekend, a large number of tourists are coming here on other days.
