New Delhi: Amid tense situation with China, PM Narendra Modi took detailed information on the situation in Ladakh in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Tuesday evening. According to sources, PM Modi has asked the three armies to suggest alternatives on the current situation. A detailed report was presented to PM Narendra Modi on the situation made with China in Ladakh on behalf of the three forces.
National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval was also present in this meeting. In view of the current circumstances, the three forces gave suggestions regarding strategic and tactical options in the event of increasing defense assets and tension. The three armies also submitted a blueprint of their preparations for the current situation to PM Modi. PM Modi took information about the situation from National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and CDS General Bipin Rawat. General Bipin Rawat gave important inputs from the three forces on the current situation and how to deal with it and also presented a blueprint for the preparations of the armies.
In the area of China adjoining East Ladakh, China and Pakistan were doing a war exercise named Shaheen. Since then, China has deployed more than 5,000 soldiers with tents on Daulat Beg Oldi, Galwan Nala and Pengyong Lake. India also deployed an equal number of tent soldiers in front of the Chinese soldiers. Earlier, on 6 and 7 May, there was a clash in the Penyong Lake area during the surveillance of the troops of China and India. Since then, there has been a continuous deadlock on the eastern Ladakh border.
