New Delhi: Domestic airline started on Monday (May 25) amid the fourth phase of the lockdown implemented to prevent the spread of Corona across the country and 832 aircraft flew across the country on the first day. While giving information in this regard, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has told that 58,318 passengers reached their destination on the first day after the start of domestic flight.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has stated that "On the first day on May 25, till midnight, 58 thousand 318 passengers flew to their destination in 832 flights. Operations have been restored in Andhra Pradesh from today (Tuesday)." Grant that some 630 flights had to be cancelled on Monday due to restrictions in some states. According to aviation sources, there were no flights to West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh by the central government on Sunday night and big ones like Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad About 630 flights were cancelled on Monday after the guidelines issued to operate a small number of aircraft for cities.

All the airports in West Bengal will operate from May 28 onwards due to the storm of Amphan. The Maharashtra government has allowed 50 flights per day. The Tamil Nadu government has demanded operation of 25 flights daily from the centre. Actually, Corona has the highest number of cases in Maharashtra, due to this, as a precautionary state government is not allowing more flights.
