New Delhi: Noida abuser Shrikant Tyagi has received a major setback from the Allahabad High Court. The court has rejected the bail plea of Shrikant Tyagi. Shrikant Tyagi has been in jail since August 9 for abusing a woman in posh society in Noida. Tyagi had filed a bail application in the high court. It was also heard on Thursday. The court had then reserved the verdict.

In the case, the High Court has sought a counter affidavit from the public prosecutor in three weeks. A single-judge bench of Justice Mayank Kumar Jain heard the bail plea on Thursday. The case was argued by senior advocate GS Chaturvedi and advocate Amrita Rai Mishra. Shrikant Tyagi had filed a bail application in the Allahabad High Court in a case registered under the Gangster Act. He has already been granted bail by the sessions court in three cases. Shrikant Tyagi is lodged in jail in connection with the case of misbehaving with a woman.  

A video of Shrikant Tyagi abusing the woman on August 5 went viral. The police registered a case as soon as the matter caught on. The matter came into more headlines when Gautam Budh Nagar MP Dr Mahesh Sharma himself reached the society with the matter and called Lucknow and complained to the police commissioner.
