Indore: The ongoing state-wide strike by nurses over their 12-point demands continues for the fourth day today. In fact, in Indore, today, Saturday, the strike has gained momentum. Demonstrations are being held every day at MY Hospital. National Health Mission (NHM) nurses have also joined here. More than 150 nurses from other hospitals including Radha Swami Centre have also come out in support of the strike last Friday. Most importantly, most of the more than 150 staff nurses appointed by the department about two months ago supported the strike and joined the demonstration. In the demonstration, the nurses raised slogans against the government by taking over the Corona Warriors honour.

They said, "This afternoon they will return the award to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh at PC Sethi Hospital. Amidst all this, ACS has called the nursing association to Bhopal for discussion on July 5.'' In fact, at 11 a.m. this morning, a group of 500 nurses reached the gate of MY Hospital and started shouting slogans. A large group of permanent staff nurses are demanding that "we should be given a second grade like other states. 50 lakhs to the families of nurses who died during the corona period. The amount should be given and compassionate appointments should be given to their dependents while the other group is working in the hospital.''

On the other hand, 230 temporary NHM nurses are protesting against the dismissal. Their demand is that we should be given permanent or contract appointments because we have worked at risk of life in the corona epidemic and have lost many colleagues. Now, amidst all this, NHM nurses associated with Radha Swami Centre also joined the strike and demanded permanent appointments.
