Amarnath tragedy: Mamata issues helpline number, says she will help in every way possible

Srinagar: Sixteen pilgrims have lost their lives in a cloudburst incident during the Amarnath yatra. More than 45 people are said to be injured. With this, 48 devotees have also gone missing. At present, the identity of the devotees who died has not been ascertained. Meanwhile, helpline numbers are also being issued by the state governments. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has expressed grief over the incident and said that the state government is fully equipped to help the devotees.

 

In a tweet, Mamata wrote, "Shocked and stunned by the Amarnath disaster. Sincere condolences to kins of the victims, and solidarity to the trapped and stranded. Opened control room in Nabanna (033- 22143526), activated our Delhi RC office, and connected J&K government for rescue of pilgrims from Bengal. All possible help will be provided to the affected families.''

Let us know that the Shivraj government has also issued helpline numbers for the devotees of Madhya Pradesh who are stranded due to the cloudburst in the Amarnath Yatra.
