Datia: Collector Sanjay Kumar's decision at Datia in Madhya Pradesh is currently being described as the most commendable initiative. In fact, he has given an order which is being discussed everywhere. Under the information received, he has given a big Diwali gift to hundreds of potters. In fact, the Collector has come out with a new order under which the Municipal Corporation or the Gram Panchayat will not collect any tax from the potters selling earthen lamps on Diwali. Let me tell you all that due to China's lamps and other goods coming into the market, the demand for India's traditionally running clay lamps has come down drastically.

Though there was a time when the Diwali market in India was decorated with clay lamps, the system has now diminished. In fact, China's lamps and other goods in the market created a bread crisis for India's traditionally-run earthen Diyas sellers. We all know that every year on Diwali, potters set up shops to sell earthen lamps on a large scale, but today they do not earn as much income as they used to be, although there is no reduction in the tax paid to the municipal corporation for setting up shops. This causes a deep injury to the economic front of those people. In view of this, Datia Collector Sanjay Kumar has directed all municipal bodies in the district not to take any tax from potters and encourage the sale of clay goods.

On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that all government employees in the state will get an increased Dearness Allowance (DA) by 8%. Let me tell you that the employees will get this increased Dearness Allowance by adding to the salary of October 2021 to be paid in November 2021. That is, now the officers and employees of Madhya Pradesh will get a total dearness allowance of 20%. At present, it is 12%.
