Badaun (U.P.): Unlike the usual statues of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, where he is seen wearing a black or blue coat. The one in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district is firstly painted in saffron and again pained in Blue color, report say.
As ANI reports, the damaged statue of BR Ambedkar which was rebuilt and painted saffron is recently re-painted blue by BSP Leader Himendra Gautam.
According to the reports, this Ambedkar statue in Badaun's Dugraiyya village was vandalized. It has, however, now been rebuilt in presence of the district police officers. On that note, from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's office to various other spots, the color saffron has become a defining feature of the state. The state has been draped in this color hue ever since the Yogi-led Bharatiya Janata Party government came into the power.

The Hindu activists have reportedly painted the newly developed statue of Ambedkar, after vandalizing, in the saffron color to show their aggression against the protest held on April 2.
According to Bharat Singh Jatav, Badaun district president, Aarakshan Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, said, “There is anger among the community members due to the color of the coat. Saffron is unusual as we have always seen his pictures and statues in dark-colored western outfits, blazer, and trousers. It must be repainted.”
