A $15 billion package has been released in California to tackle drought and protect people from the negative impact of environmental change. California's Natural Resources Secretary Wed Crowfoot has said that floods are a part of California's natural environment. But now the problem is deepening due to climate change.

He said the problem has increased this year due to record temperatures in winter and summer. California's second year of continuous flooding has worsened conditions. The state is said to be the worst since 1976-77. California Governor New Some has declared an emergency in 50 out of 58 villages in the state.
