Washington:- The number of people who lost their lives due to coronavirus infection in the United States has reached record levels. The corona death toll in the country rose to 7,00,000 on Friday. However, this comes at a time when cases of infection due to delta variants have declined and pressure from hospitals is decreasing.

It has taken three and a half months for the death toll from corona in the United States to reach six million to seven million. This has increased due to the spread of delta variants among the unvaccinated population of the country. The death toll from corona in the U.S. exceeds the population of Boston city. Such a large number of corona deaths are particularly disappointing for public health leaders and frontline health workers. This is because the vaccine has existed for all eligible people for the last six months.

There is also strong evidence that the rate of admit and mortality in hospitals declines after vaccination. Even then, there are 70 million vaccinable American citizens who have not yet been vaccinated. This causes the virus to spread rapidly among these people. Among those who have not been vaccinated are those who are raising apprehensions about it.
