Washington: America's chief diplomat for South and Central Asian Affairs, Alice Wells, is visiting India these days. He has said about his visit that it will help him to understand the Citizenship Amendment Act of India better. Expressing happiness over the resumption of Internet service in Kashmir, Alice Wells said, "Travel gives an opportunity to hear and understand more."
He said that especially when the country is going through a vigorous democratic review, regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) of India. Then whether it is on the streets by the opposition, in the media or in the court. ' Wells said about Kashmir, 'I am happy to see incremental steps like partial restoration of internet service in Kashmir. We will constantly urge the government to allow regular access to our diplomats and move swiftly to release the detained political leaders without any charges. '
