Bhopal: There are many states across the country that are currently fighting the coal crisis. Madhya Pradesh is also on the same list. However, now there is another big news from here. In fact, a power plant at Umaria here came to a standstill (Power Plant). As per the information received, production in the 500 MW coal-fired unit of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) has come to a standstill since last Thursday.

In this regard, Manjit Singh, Managing Director, MPPGCL, says that due to 'tube leakage,' the plant with an installed capacity of 500 MW production at Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Plant at Umaria has come to a standstill. At the same time, he also said, "The shortage of coal has affected about 1000 MW of thermal power generation in the state.'' On the other hand, he says, "Instead of 15 rakes, we are getting about 10 racks of coal every day to run our thermal power stations.''

At the same time, he has also informed that 'We were getting only 7 racks a few days ago. So, in view of this, the supply of coal to the State has now improved. A rake comes with 4,000 tonnes of coal, which comes from Madhya Pradesh from 'Western Coalfields Limited' (WCL), 'South Eastern Coalfields' (SECL) and 'Northern Coalfields Limited' (NCL).' On the other hand, people in rural areas are complaining of power cuts, but an official of Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) claims, "No power cuts are being done in any area of the state.''
