New Delhi: The dates for the Maharashtra assembly elections have been announced, but so far there was news on seat sharing between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena. BJP chief Amit Shah has called a meeting of top leaders at the party headquarters amid an ongoing tussle with Shiv Sena over seat-sharing. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Executive Chairman JP Nadda will also be present in this meeting to be held at the party headquarters.

Apart from this, the state president of Maharashtra, state in-charge and organization minister will also be present in this meeting. The split of seats between the Shiv Sena and the BJP has not been discussed, Amit Shah also cancelled his Mumbai tour. No announcement has been made by the two parties regarding the division of seats for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. There seems to be a growing tussle between BJP and Shiv Sena regarding seat sharing.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut's statement also came in the past amidst the ongoing tussle over the division of seats. Sanjay Raut had said that this is such a big Maharashtra, which is a division of 288 seats, it is even more fierce than the India-Pakistan partition. He said that as soon as the formula of the alliance between the two parties is fixed, it will be told.
