Senior Congress leader PL Punia on Sunday said that Home Minister Amit Shah is holding rallies in West Bengal to spoil the functioning of the West Bengal government. Speaking to news agency ANI, Punia said, 'Home minister Amit Shah is holding a rally in West Bengal in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 (CAA). If they feel that there is nothing wrong in the law, then why are they pretending to hold rallies. The BJP is taking all steps to upset Mamata Banerjee's government in West Bengal. Many BJP leaders from West Bengal and Northeast India are against the CAA. The law is going to divide the country.

Punia further said that every state of the country has seen protests against CAA. Some states have also passed resolutions against the law and have also condemned NPR. His remarks came during Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to West Bengal, where Shah addressed a rally.

For your information, let us tell you that Punia also alleged that violence occurred in Delhi due to inflammatory speeches by BJP leaders. The violence in Delhi is very unfortunate. This violence erupted with provocative speeches by BJP leaders. Even an FIR was not registered against him. The government and Delhi Police should take action against them.
