Kolkata: Union Minister Amit Shah on Friday asked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to bring a white paper on political killings in the state. Along with this, he also asked, "Why did the state government not send crime statistics to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB)". Further, referring to the coming into force of the amended citizenship law, Amit Shah said, "The law has its place and it is the resolve of the central government." Amit Shah said, "In the new era of development, we aim to make a strong Bengal. Mamta Banerjee aims to make her nephew the next chief minister."

Apart from this, he also said, "The West Bengal government has not sent crime figures to NCRB since 2018. I want to say that Mamata Banerjee should bring white paper on political killings. Bengal is at the top in terms of political killings." Simultaneously, accusing the government officials of politicizing and criminalizing the state authorities, the Union Home Minister said, "There are three laws in West Bengal - one for nephew, one for appeasement of minorities and one for common people."

Apart from this, on the confrontation between Governor Jagdeep Dhankar and the State Government, Amit Shah also said that, 'The Governor is working under his constitutional scope. Words used against the governor are unacceptable. I would like to know where are the (Darjeeling) District Magistrates who was removed after meeting the Governor. Apart from this, Amit Shah appealed," I have come to assure the people of Bengal that you have also given the Congress 1 chance. Dia, gave frequent opportunities to communists and gave 2 chances to Mamata Banerjee. Give one chance to BJP under PM Modi's leadership, we promise to make Sonar Bangla within 5 years. ''
