Mumbai: Former Army Chief and Union Minister VK Singh has fiercely attacked the Maharashtra government and the Mumbai Police over the arrest of Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV. He said, "The way the Mumbai police is treating Arnab Goswami, they would not have treated this kind of treatment with Kasab either".

Not only this, Union Minister VK Singh has also compared this phase of today with the time of Emergency. He said, 'As we had seen during the Emergency also, where the Congress has a hand, there must be something wrong there. At that time a lot was done to the Indian Express (of Emergency) and Ramnath Goenka. Today I see it happening with Republic.'

Union Minister VK Singh further said that Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV, was arrested in the case. It was closed in the year 2018. If the case was closed in 2018, then why are you falsely implicating it today? Today, nobody trusts Maharashtra Police.
