Amit Shah to embark on Mumbai to discuss polls strategy with BJP functionaries

Mumbai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting Mumbai today, April 15, where he is set to hold meetings with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit leaders.

Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, and other senior officials will meet Shah at the airport in Mumbai.

Shah will meet with BJP officials from the state chapter and will go through the party's electoral plan. The meeting will take place at Sahyadri State Guest House. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections, other local elections, and the elections for the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) would all be discussed, they said.

Shah is expected to  meet Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to talk about the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance's agenda and the operation of the state government.

He will attend a grand function in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai where he will also felicitate Appasaheb Dharmadhikari with the state's highest civilian honour Maharashtra Bhushan. 

The Union Minister is  also scheduled to present the Maharashtra Bhushan Award, the state's highest civilian honour, to social worker and reformer Appasaheb Dharmadhikari,  at a ceremony in Kharghar on Sunday, April 16. Lakhs of disciples of Dharmadhikari from across Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune, Nashik and various other places will be travelling in private vehicles and state transport buses for attending the award function.
