New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will open a two-day conference in the national capital on Tuesday, April 12 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the start of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav..

The conference will review the initiative's accomplishments, include discussions on best practises, and discuss future celebration strategies.

G Kishan Reddy, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Meenakshi Lekhi, and Ajay Bhattwil, all Union Ministers, will speak at the conference.  The conference will be attended by top leaders from every state and union territory authority.

The discussion will focus on historic Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav  programmes  (AKAM) that incorporate widespread public engagement (Jan Bhagidhari), such as 'Har Ghar Jhanda,' 'International Yoga Day,' 'Digital District Repository,' 'Swatantra Swar,' and 'Mera Gaon Meri Dharoha,' according to the Ministry of Culture.

A session focusing on the Ministry of Tourism's substantial contributions to the AKAM campaign will also be held. There will also be an ideation session with States/UTs on their progress under AKAM, as well as discussions on best practises and lessons gained so far and how they might be adopted moving forward.
