Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya are seen as the best star couple in Bollywood and today is the wedding anniversary of the two. There was a time when a wall had come between the two and the name of that wall was Rekha. Yes, you all must know that Amitabh and Rekha were very much talked about at one time and it is said that both were in love with each other. Amitabh was married at that time  when rumours about Rekha and Big B were in news. It is said that being a married man he still could not stop himself from falling in love with Rekha. The love story of the two started on the sets of the film 'Do Ajnabi' in the 70s.

Big B was married at that time but still lost his heart on Rekha's beauty. Jaya was left alone as Amitabh was drawn to Rekha but she bravely found her love back and kicked Rekha out of Amitabh's life. Once, in an interview, Jaya was asked, 'Were you upset to hear about her husband's affair?' Jaya said, 'We are human beings and react. If we can speak negatively, we can also speak positively. We need to find out everything once again. Time heals every wound. If we are unhappy now, then later maybe we will get our happiness back.'

This all talks were made when she was asked whether there was any truth in the news of Amitabh and Rekha's affair or it was just a rumour. So Jaya had said, 'This will be true. They are elsewhere nowadays. The audience likes them as a couple. Amitabh's name is associated with many of his co-stars. If this had been true with everyone, our lives would have become hell.' Even today, Rekha does not lag behind in accepting her relationship with Amitabh, while Amitabh avoids these questions.
