Amos Adamu, former FIFA executive committee member (now), has been banned for the second time because of his unethical practices. The FIFA ethics committee commits that it was Adamu's 'involvement in the organization of an event in 2010' that has been violating the rules and code of conduct.
Adamu was earlier an executive committee member in 2010 during the win over Russia and Qatar for their hosting rights for 2018 and 2022 World Cups. The Nigerian then seeked bribes in a separate undercover sting by The Sunday Times. Hence, he was banned for three years and lost the connections with FIFA.
