Amroha: Congress state secretary Sachin Chaudhary has been arrested by the police on Saturday on charges of making objectionable remarks against PM Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. Giving information, police sources said that even after the lockdown, Sachin Chaudhary is accused of holding press talks and making vulgar remarks against PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Police have registered a case against the Congress leader under Section 188 of the IPC under various other sections. Sachin Chaudhary, secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee and two others, who contested the Lok Sabha elections on a Congress ticket from Amroha, have been arrested by the Amroha Country Police for the offense of violating Section 144. The arrested Congress leader Sachin Chaudhary says that the Modi government has sensitized people by implementing social emergency like lockdown without any preparation.

He said how the poor and middle class would be able to withstand the lockdown of more than two weeks. He said that among the worst affected is the lower middle class, whose house is not arranged for burning the stove. They have to dig a well every day and drink water every day.
