It's day 22 in the Bigg Boss 16 house, and Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Choudhary's chemistry is the one being discussed in addition to that of Tina Datta and Shalin Bhanot. On the first day of Bigg Boss, when these two best friends entered the house, Salman was astounded by their chemistry and teased them despite their claims that they were only "friends."

Salman had expressed dissatisfaction with their lack of on-screen chemistry in the first Weekend ka Vaar as well. Ankit made the decision to work harder to be more active in the home after he questioned their friendship. On this Weekend ka Vaar (Day 22), Karan Johar entered the house and started his own KJO party, where he urged many of the competitors to follow his instructions because he is their mentor. He questioned Nimrit about the men she would date, marry, and kill. Nimrit claims that she would date Shalin, murder Priyanka, and then wed Ankit.

Ankit, according to Priyanka, will never leave her side and will never go to Nimrit. Ankita concurred with her. Then Karan discussed one-sided love while playing a game of casting roles with everyone. He asserts that it is obvious that Ankit and Priyanka should carry it out. Ankit is given Anushka's role from "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and Priyanka is given Ranbir's role so they can dance to "Channa Mereya." As they both begin to dance, Ankit lifts Priyanka in the gap, surprising Karan. Their chemistry is admired by all. As it appears that even Ankit likes Priyanka, Karan questions them as to why they changed the entire plot when the focus of the film is one-sided love. Ankit responds by saying that while in that film both leads had their own reasons for not being together, he doesn't see a similar reason for him and Priyanka to be apart in real life because things don't have to be exclusively one-sided between them. When he replies, everyone is taken aback, and Karan teasingly smiles.
