Satna: Discontent over ticket distribution has come to the surface in the Congress of Madhya Pradesh. Senior Congress leader in Satna and former state minister Saeed Ahmed has quit the party accusing it of non-implementation of the 'one person one post' decision taken at the Nav Sankalp Shivir in Rajasthan. He has joined Bahujan Samaj Party. Similarly, senior leader Gendalal has also left Congress and returned to Bahujan Samaj Party.

In Satna, there is dissatisfaction between both the Congress and the BJP over ticket distribution. Saeed Ahmed and Gendalal had earlier stayed away from the Congress workers meeting held on Tuesday. Congress has nominated Satna MLA Siddharth Kushwaha, about which senior party leaders are said to be angry. Only a few leaders had reached the workers' conference on Tuesday. Apart from Siddharth, Kalpana Verma, District President Dilip Mishra, City President Maqsood Ahmed, Urmila Tripathi and only leaders close to the MLA were in the conference. Former ministers Sayeed Ahmed and Gendalal Bhai Patel, who left the Congress, distanced themselves from the meeting. Siddharth Kushwaha is due to file his nomination on June 18. Earlier, the displeasure of Saeed Ahmed and Gendalal Bhai has posed a threat to the Congress.

The same Saeed Ahmed has written in his resignation that the rule of one person one post was passed in the Nav Sankalp Shivir organized in Rajasthan. But this rule was not implemented in Madhya Pradesh. So sadly I am resigning from the Congress party.
