It remains to be seen what to expect, but Ocasio-Cortez will be joined by one of the platform's biggest names, left-wing news and political streamer Hasan Pyker.

Pokimane also seems interested in debuting, but it's unclear which game (if any) they'll be playing this time around.

Ocasio-Cortez's famous Twitch moment in 2020 quickly topped the record with 435,000 concurrent viewers, making it one of the top five most-watched Twitch streams at the time.

Twitch has grown a lot since 2020, and so have our records. In July of this year, Spanish streamer Ibay his Llanos broke his record of 3.4 million simultaneous views at the streamer's famous boxing event, La Velada del Ano III. Llanos surpassed his own record set in 2022 at his last year's event.

While AOC's previous streams didn't perform well by today's Twitch standards, the 2020 event was an iconic moment for a political world notorious for its lack of internet, and for Twitch itself, which, though established, still lacked the full cultural force of today. During the stream, the senators played "Among Us," a crime multiplayer hit at the time, alongside star streamers Pokimane, Pyker, and Dr. Lupo.
