New Delhi:- Apple released the first public betas of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma on Wednesday. With these releases, the company introduced new features such as full-page screenshots, dual-language Siri, and SMS sorting for dual-SIM users.
The Cupertino-based company has added Siri support for bilingual queries, including some Indian languages. This means users can ask Siri questions in a mixture of English and Hindi. Additionally, users can combine English with Telugu, Punjabi, Kannada, or Marathi. Google Assistant got multilingual support in 2018 and Amazon introduced multilingual support in 2019, so Apple is lagging behind. This is especially useful for users based in India who speak different languages ​​in their daily conversations.
Apple is also introducing a full-page screenshot feature in iOS 17. This is what Android smartphones have been offering for years through “scrolling screenshots”. The user can save this as an image or PDF file.

Users will enjoy better dual SIM support, including sorting messages by SIM card, separate ringtones per SIM card, and the ability to select their SIM card when calling an unknown number.
Apple has announced further improvements across all platforms for Indian users with the following updates:
Transliteration support for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam on iOS. With this expansion, Apple now supports its 10 Indian languages.

A user can sign in to his Apple ID using a phone number instead of an email ID on iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS Sonoma.
A new integrated Punjabi dictionary that allows you to define words and phrases cross-platform.
Users can see up to 2,000 calls, including Facetime and WhatsApp calls, in the call history area. Filter messages by known and unknown senders on your iPad.

Apple plans to release stable versions of iOS 17, iPad 17, and macOS Sonoma later this fall. Expect some bugs in the current beta. So if you don't want to install it on your main device, you can wait for the final public release.
