Varanasi: After the first Monday of Sawan passed, the Divisional Commissioner and Police Commissioner of Varanasi Zone held a review meeting with all the officers at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. During this, all the officers also took suggestions on the first Monday regarding the difficulties and better arrangements to be made during the arrangements made for the devotees.
In the wake of the review meeting, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agarwal said that there can be no reduction in the arrangements of the devotees. So, if the VIPs want to come to Kashi Vishwanath Dham on Monday to perform darshan puja and Abhishek, then they can park their vehicles at Namo Ghat or Assi Ghat and come to Kashi Vishwanath Dham by waterway. In such a situation, neither the devotees will be inconvenienced nor will they have to face any kind of traffic problem.
He gave this direction to the officers of all the departments to inform the devotees coming in the month of Sawan. In the meeting, Police Commissioner A Satish Ganesh said that the arrangements for Sawan were very satisfactory. Even after this, the convenience of devotees needs to be increased further. Being the first Monday, devotees have reached Kashi Vishwanath Dham in very low figures. There are many districts of Purvanchal where devotees are yet to reach Kashi for darshan. In such a situation, the crowd of devotees will increase on the coming three Mondays. He said that even better arrangements should be made for the devotees. Varanasi Collector Kaushal Raj Sharma directed to further improve the arrangements for cleanliness and mating in the temple premises. Chief Executive Officer of the temple Sunil Kumar Verma said that around 5.5 lakh devotees visited Vishwanath Dham on Monday. Due to this, the cleanliness and other arrangements were correct. He told the officials to set up more tents on the premises in view of the heat and rain. A large number of officers including the Municipal Commissioner were present on the occasion.
