The BCCI has prepared a draught of the schedule for the upcoming ODI World and sent it to the ICC; the schedule will be finalised following input from the nations taking part in this competition.

Date and venue of the India vs. Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match: The timeline for the ODI World Cup 2023, which will take place in India in October and November of this year, appears to be becoming more clear. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which is hosting this tournament, has forwarded the ICC a draught of this schedule. The participating nations' comments on this draught are now being awaited. Next week, the final schedule will be revealed.

The draught states that Team India will play Australia in Chennai on October 8 to kick off its ODI World Cup campaign, followed by a match against Pakistan in Ahmedabad a week later. Both semi-finals will take place in Mumbai and Chennai, per PTI sources.

The competition will start on October 5 in Ahmedabad, when the defending champions England take on the eventual runners-up New Zealand. On November 19, the championship game will also take place at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. The 11 cities chosen to host the World Cup include Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Pune, Lucknow, and Dharamshala.

Nine cities, including Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru, will host India's league games. The contest with Pakistan is scheduled for October 15. The league games for Pakistan will take place across five cities.

According to the report, 'Pakistan will play two teams from the qualifier round on October 6 and 12 in Hyderabad. This was followed by Australia in Bengaluru (20 October), Afghanistan in Chennai (23 October), South Africa (27 October), Bangladesh in Kolkata (31 October), New Zealand in Bengaluru (5 November), and England in Kolkata (12 November).

On October 29, Australia and New Zealand will play in Dharamshala, and on November 4, England will play in Ahmedabad. There are ten teams competing in the tournament, eight of which are fixed and two of which will come from qualifiers. There are only a few months until the competition, but the schedule has not yet been released, unlike the last two World Cups, where it was decided a year in advance.
