Srinagar: India has given a befitting reply to the statement of the Organisation of Muslim Countries (OIC) on the third anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has said that the OIC's statement is motivated by the communal agenda. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, in response to media queries on Friday (August 5), said the statement issued by the OIC Secretary General on Jammu and Kashmir is a symbol of bigotry. Bagchi further said that Jammu and Kashmir are an integral part of India and will continue to be so.

Arindam Bagchi said that since the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, development is taking place at a rapid pace. He said that the social and economic development of the state has also gained momentum. Arindam Bagchi said the statement of the OIC general secretary is a source of inciting terrorists from the very beginning. They make such statements at the behest of the notorious promoter of international terrorism (Pakistan), who is constantly violating human rights and spreading terror from across the border.

The OIC, an organisation of Muslim countries around the world, tweeted one after the other, saying, "August 5, 2022, marks the third anniversary of the illegal and unilateral action taken in India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. After this, several illegal steps were taken in Kashmir, including illegal demographic changes. Such an illegal act can neither change the disputed situation in Jammu and Kashmir nor affect the legitimate rights of the people of Kashmir." Let us tell you that the language of the OIC is exactly similar to that of Pakistan and the terrorists who falsely accuse India of committing atrocities in Kashmir. But in reality, their purpose is something else.
