Mumbai: Arjun Tendulkar, son of Team India veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar, has registered for the IPL 2021 auction. The Mumbai all-rounder has kept his base price at Rs 20 lakh. Arjun Tendulkar was with Mumbai Indians as a net bowler for a few years and also went on UAE tour for IPL 2020.

Even after representing India Under-19s in Test matches, Arjun Tendulkar was not eligible to play in the previous season, as he did not play domestic cricket. He recently made his debut for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Although he did not score much runs in the tournament, the left-arm fast bowler conceded 67 runs in 7 overs and took 2 wickets. He is going to enter his first IPL auction, it will be interesting to see which team bets on him. Since he has been a part of the Mumbai Indians set-up for a few years, the five-time champions can show confidence in Arjun.

Even after playing just two matches at senior level, Arjun has experience of bowling to international batsmen. He bowled the Indian women's team in the net on the eve of the 2017 World Cup final. He also bowled the English Batsman and once injured Johnny Bairstow with a toe-crushing yorker. In 2017, Arjun was seen bowling to the Indian Betsmans at the Wankhede Stadium.
