Bhopal: The Spike Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) was successfully tested at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh during the Infantry Commanders' Conference of the Indian Army. During this, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat was also present. This missile is designed by Israel's Rafael Advanced Defense System. India has also canceled this deal many times. But the missile was launched with immediate effect keeping in mind the needs of the army.

With the help of this missile, enemy tanks can be easily destroyed in the battlefield. The Indian Army had been demanding such a missile for a long time. DRDO also tested its indigenous anti-tank guided missile in March 2019. However, being in a state of development, the Army did not show any interest in it. The anti-tank guided missile is known as ATGM. Which is capable of destroying the armored tank.

This missile is mainly of three types. The first man portable means that it can be carried easily anywhere on the shoulder, the mount missile in the second tank and the third helicopter or mount missile in the fighter plane. ATGM missiles operate on the pattern of other guided missiles. For this, the correct coordinates of a certain target are fitted first in the missile. After this he is fired. The accuracy of target penetration is very high.
