Actor Arshad Warsi reflected on his experience working on the popular movie Munna Bhai MBBS and claimed he was certain at the time that it would be his final project. In the movie, Arshad portrayed the part of Munna Bhai's henchman circuit and became the star. Warsi cited Munna Bhai co-star Sanjay Dutt and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya co-star Salman Khan as the prominent actors who aren't worried that their co-stars would steal the show. Not only did his career continue after, it flourished.

I did Munna Bhai because of Sanjay Dutt, Arshad said. "In fact, one of the reasons I originally did Munna Bhai MBBS was because of Sanju. He's such a secure actor that I knew he'd let me do my own thing," Warsi said in an interview to Siddharth Kannan.

He continued, “When you agree to a role, you only see what’s on paper. It’s only after the film comes out when you realise what it is, and what the impact has been. It was the role of a goon, who was among five other goons who were tagging along with the hero. I thought it would be the last film of my career… Even if the film became a hit, I’d get nothing, and if it flopped, I’d get nothing…. I don’t think even Sanju had a lot of confidence in the first film, it went against the grain of what was working at that time…”

Arshad added, “I liked Raju. He was a good man and a good director, and I liked the story. I liked the film. But I knew I wouldn’t get anything out of it. Do you ever remember goons in movies like this? Only the hero and the director benefit from these movies. I asked Raju to let me enjoy it, to let me enjoy my failure.”

Arshad boldly asserted that it would be unwise of the producers to decide against producing Asur 3. He stated his position and said, "If you are watching a series and you are enjoying it, you want closure. You want to see what happens in the end. If someone shuts the film 30 minutes before the end, I'd kill them (jokingly)."

Warsi said in a separate interview with Bollywood Spy that he will appear alongside Akshay Kumar in the third installment of Jolly LLB, rumored to be named Jolly vs. Jolly. He described Kumar as "a riot" and expressed excitement about working with him.

Warsi's replacement by Kumar in Jolly LLB 2 sparked rumors that the two were at odds. But the two denied the rumors when the Bachchan Pandey teaser was unveiled.
