On Monday, June 12, the trailer for Kajol's first web series, The Trial, was made available. In the courtroom drama, Kajol plays Noyonika Sengupta, a housewife who is compelled to resume her legal career after her husband's public scandal lands him in jail.
Monday's trailer premiere ceremony for Kajol's new series The Trial had Ajay Devgn as a special guest. Ajay was questioned about if Kajol makes decisions for the family like her Disney Hotstar character Noyonika Sengupta during the press conference. He responded, and everyone laughed.
Ajay was questioned about whether Kajol is like her on-screen persona when it comes to making big decisions at home in a little clip from the media interaction at the trailer launch event that was released by an Instagram account. Kajol intervened right away and said, "Bilkul nahi, jawaab mein de deti hoon. Bilkul nahi! (Absolutely no. I will answer it for him, absolutely no!)" Ajay who was seated right beside her, said, "Apki shaadi ho gayi? (Are you married?)" to which everyone in the room erupted in laughter. "Toh is sawaal ka jawab aap bhi de sakte ho... jis ki shaadi hui he sab sakte he. Swaal ka jawaab ek hi hoga. Sabka unanimously ek hi jawaab hoga (This question can be answered by anyone who is married...who are here now. The answer will be the same for every single one, unanimously.)"
Ajay Devgn last appeared in the movie office hit Bholaa. The 2019 Tamil movie Kaithi, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was officially translated into Hindi as Bholaa, which also starred Ajay, Tabu, Gajraj Rao, and Deepak Dobriyal in significant parts.
Kajol and Ajay Devgn have been married for 24 years. Despite being a love marriage, theirs did not happen right away. They began dating after meeting on the Hulchul set. After getting married in 1999, Ajay and Kajol brought their daughter Nysa into the world in 2003. They welcomed their son Yug in 2010.
