Srinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed former Jammu and Kashmir CM and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah (Omar Abdullah)'s statement on Section 370, saying section 370 had been in force in the Valley for the past 75 years, then why there was no peace. If there is any connection between peace and Section 370, was Section 370 not applicable in 1990 (massacre of Kashmiri Pandits).

Amit Shah said that there were things against us that curfew was imposed for a long time and the internet remained paralysed. But I went to Jammu and Kashmir and asked the youth who would have died if we had opened the curfew. The answer was we die. young people die. The youth told me that the government has protected us by imposing a curfew. Amit Shah, who attended an event, said that the kind of development that is taking place in Jammu and Kashmir at present, the kind of law and order situation that has now been created there, has also increased tourism there.

Amit Shah said Jammu and Kashmir is doing well today to take the benefits of public welfare schemes to the people there. A few days ago, Omar Abdullah had said that after the cancellation of 370, Ambani, Tata and Adani would bring in investments, which would create employment opportunities, but nothing happened. Locals are not getting jobs even from projects. He had said that terrorism is on the rise back in the Valley after the withdrawal of 370.
