The Union Home Ministry has also started the process of withdrawing additional central paramilitary forces deployed in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir after the easing of the situation and the removal of administrative restrictions. During the last one month, nearly two thousand personnel and officers of CRPF and BSF have been sent out of the state, while in the next 30 days three thousand more jawans are being removed.
According to media reports, before implementing the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act 2019 on August 5, the central government deployed additional contingents of central paramilitary forces in the last week of July to maintain the atmosphere of peace in Jammu and Kashmir and to deal with any untoward incident. Which lasted till the night of August 4.
To prevent any kind of untoward incident, the Union Home Ministry had deployed around 40 thousand personnel and officers of various central paramilitary forces including CRPF, SSB, BSF, CISF and ITBP in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Now, with the improvement in the situation, additional units of central paramilitary forces have been removed and sent to their original places of deployment or to the parts of the country where they are needed.
