Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh BJP MLA Lokam Tassar has been accused of raping a woman. On Tuesday, the victim lodged a complaint against the accused MLA at the Itanagar police station. It was alleged that on July 4, the MLA raped the woman at his Itanagar residence.

For now, the police have registered a case against Lokam Tassar under Section 376(2). However, even after the case was registered, the MLA has not yet been arrested. At the same time, when an attempt was made to contact the accused MLA on this matter, he did not come forward and denied giving a statement. His public relations officer has said that it is a political conspiracy and that all the allegations against the MLA are baseless.
