Arunachal Pradesh to develop model villages along its border with China

The government of Arunachal Pradesh is planning to turn at least three villages near the India-China border into model villages. Pema Khandu, the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, announced this on Thursday.Kaho, Musai, and Kibithu are three villages in Arunachal Pradesh's Anjaw district that will be turned into model villages.

According to CM Khandu, a specific project called "Model Village" was recently started to promote settlements near the border by implementing different national and state government schemes. The Arunachal government decided to develop distant parts of the state under the "model village" programme in order to prevent border people from migrating to metropolitan areas.

Khandu also stated that 4G towers will be constructed shortly in border regions of Arunachal Pradesh's Anjaw district."Airtel received the tender for the installation of 4G towers in the district, and construction will begin soon," CM Khandu added.
